Responsibilities
Manage and oversee bookkeeping services for a portfolio of clients
Maintain and review general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness
Perform and review complex bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
Oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
Identify accounting issues, trends, and discrepancies and communicate recommendations to clients and senior firm staff
Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned bookkeeping clients
Review work prepared by Bookkeeping Specialists and Associates for accuracy and completeness
Provide guidance, training, and feedback to lower-level bookkeeping staff
Support onboarding and training of new bookkeeping staff
Coordinate with tax and accounting teams to support tax preparation and year-end reporting
Assist with bookkeeping client onboarding, including system setup and process implementation
Contribute to continuous improvement of bookkeeping services and client experience
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a CPA firm or client-service environment
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reconciliations and data analysis
Experience managing multiple clients and deadlines
Prior experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
Strong communication skills and professional client-service mindset
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
