Senior Account Manager - Direct Sales
Catalyst Power Holdings LLC is seeking an experienced, highly driven Senior Account Manager to join their team. The role focuses on direct customer acquisition for their retail energy business across the East Coast, prioritizing hunting, outreach, and closing commercial and industrial customers.

Responsibilities
Direct New Retail Energy Contract Business Acquisition (ISO-NE, PJM, NYISO)
Prospect, engage, and close commercial and industrial customers directly
Directly target mid-market and large C&I customers through outbound outreach (in coordination with our SDR/Inside Sales team), networking, in-person meetings, and industry events
Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline driven by personal activity and relationship development
Meet and exceed monthly and annual new business quotas
Take full ownership of the sales cycle: coordinated lead generation and campaign development → proposal → pricing → negotiation → contract execution
Collaborate with internal pricing and operations teams to develop competitive offers
Maintain a deep understanding of East Coast deregulated markets (ISO-NE, PJM, NYISO)
Explain energy (electric and gas) procurement strategies and product structures (fixed, index, block-and-index, pass-through)
Position value and differentiate Catalyst offerings in highly competitive markets
Introduce distributed generation (DG) product offerings and coordinate with internal solutions experts to qualify prospective customers eligible for projects
Ensure a smooth post-contracting customer experience and onboarding
Maintain continued customer touchpoints to support renewals and referrals
Qualification
Required
8+ years of direct, quota-carrying sales experience in retail energy supply (no broker-only backgrounds)
Proven success closing mid-market and large C&I customers through direct selling
Demonstrated track record of hitting or exceeding new business sales targets
Strong understanding of retail energy pricing, margin structures, load profiles, and supply agreements
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Highly competitive, self-driven, and comfortable working autonomously
Preferred
Experience selling across multiple deregulated East Coast states (NY, ME, NH, MA, RI, CT, PA, NJ, IL, MD, DE)
Experience engaging directly with energy managers, CFOs, facility directors, and procurement teams
CRM proficiency (HubSpot, etc.)
Experience navigating complex contracts, RFPs, or multi-site energy portfolios
An existing network of potential prospects in key mid-market segments or customer portfolios is strongly preferred
