Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Lead audit engagements from planning through completion for nonprofit clients
Supervise and mentor staff auditors; review workpapers and provide coaching
Perform risk assessments and design audit procedures aligned with nonprofit standards
Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures
Ensure compliance with applicable nonprofit reporting requirements (including grant and donor restrictions)
Communicate audit progress and findings to clients clearly and professionally
Partner with managers/partners to improve audit efficiency and quality

Required

3+ years of public accounting audit experience
Nonprofit audit experience is REQUIRED (must have hands-on experience auditing nonprofit entities)
Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting and reporting (restricted/unrestricted net assets, contributions, grants, etc.)
Experience leading portions of audits and reviewing staff work
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

Preferred

CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
Experience with Uniform Guidance / Single Audit
Grant compliance and fund accounting
Higher education audits
