Responsibilities
Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of terminals, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity
Control access at designated posts by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in or screening areas per site procedures
Operate and monitor radios, CCTV, and alarm systems as assigned, complete required reports, and communicate security-related concerns to supervisors and client representatives
Qualification
Required
Possess an armed guard card and/or license
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Participate in industry-specific security training programs
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred
