Responsibilities

Provide support to Materials Engineering and Quality in performing an in-depth documentation review of received materials and process certifications from suppliers and for analyzing them for correctness and compliance
Interface with outside vendors to close any gaps in required materials certification paperwork
Provide support in preparation of documentation required to send parts to outside Materials Analysis labs
Provide Materials Engineering support in performing in-house materials testing with XRF equipment, hardness, and passivation test (Training will be provided)

Required

Associate's degree with minimum 3-year experience; or Minimum five years of experience in a related engineering or quality field
Possess a basic understanding of different types of metallic and non-metallic materials, elements in metal chemistry, finishing processes, and materials specifications
Demonstrated proficiency in PC based Microsoft Office suite of programs - Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
A successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
A strong work ethic, high attention to detail required to review documentation, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
A high level of energy, positive attitude, potential and willingness to learn about aerospace materials

Preferred

Experience in working with aerospace, automotive or medical grade materials is a plus
Prior experience involving understanding of Aerospace Materials Specifications (AMS), ASTM, AS, MIL, NAS specifications is a plus
