Responsibilities
Manage civil land development projects end-to-end: scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and project stakeholders
Oversee and/or prepare designs for grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and roadway/site access
Lead permitting efforts: prepare submittals, attend meetings/hearings as needed, and respond to review comments
Direct internal teams (engineers/designers) and coordinate with survey, geotech, environmental, architects, and utilities
Perform QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with local, state, and agency standards
Manage change orders, additional service requests, and project documentation
Support construction phase services: RFIs, plan clarifications, field observations, and issue resolution
Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development and process improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related)
6+ years of experience in land development / site civil engineering
Proven project management experience (multiple projects, competing deadlines)
Strong permitting and agency coordination background
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (or equivalent) and standard engineering software/tools
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Preferred
PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months if eligible
Experience with stormwater modeling tools (e.g., HydroCAD, ICPR, SWMM, HEC —as applicable)
Experience with proposals, fee development, and budgeting
Familiarity with entitlement support and development due diligence
Experience with [local municipalities/agencies or project types]
