Responsibilities
Support the delivery of quarterly profitability reviews that provide portfolio steering insights and underwriting recommendations to our FinPro underwriting leaders
Analyze portfolios by examining diverse data sources and performing statistical analysis to derive meaningful insights
Communicate results to wider partners including Portfolio Managers, Reserving Actuaries, and Finance departments
Execute actuarial rate reviews to update costing parameters of in-house Swiss Re developed models
Develop and enhance actuarial models through dedicated project work
Coordinate the rate monitoring process produced by the rating models and ensure feedback loops back to our profitability and planning analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Mathematics
Progression through Actuarial exams
Excellent skills in MS Excel and strong programming proficiency in R/Python or SQL
Good quantitative aptitude – able to understand and comprehend actuarial concepts
Desire to learn from highly skilled industry professionals across multiple fields to grow your professional development
Preferred
Strong communication skills and team spirit to effectively collaborate with team members
Excellent organizational skills - ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks accordingly
