Senior Vice President – Client Solutions Engineering
Hunter Philips Executive Search is a leading global hyperscale data centre operator serving major cloud and technology clients. They are seeking a Senior Vice President – Client Solutions Engineering to lead technical engagement with hyperscale clients, ensuring the integrity of customer agreements and aligning client requirements with internal capabilities.
Responsibilities
Lead technical engagement with hyperscale clients across the full lifecycle, from early-stage solution shaping through contract execution and delivery
Act as the senior technical authority in pre-sales, RFP/RFI responses, and client design discussions, translating requirements into deliverable solutions
Own the technical integrity of customer agreements, ensuring all design, engineering, and compliance commitments are clearly defined and executable
Partner closely with development, design, construction, operations, and commercial teams to align client requirements with internal delivery capability
Serve as the primary escalation point for technical risk, compliance, and change during execution
Support go-to-market strategy, product evolution, and innovation by feeding customer insight into future platform design and location strategy
Represent the business in senior, expert-to-expert client discussions across global markets
This is a global role with primary responsibility across APAC and North America, supporting hyperscale clients across multiple regions
Qualification
Required
12+ years' experience in mission-critical environments, with a strong mechanical or electrical engineering foundation
Proven background in hyperscale or large-scale data centre design, delivery, and operational environments
Experience stepping from engineering into a client-facing role, including pre-sales, RFP/RFI support, solution development, and post-contract technical oversight
Deep understanding of data centre design, critical infrastructure systems, and the full design-to-operate lifecycle
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, commercially viable solutions for senior client stakeholders
Strong presence in customer workshops, technical negotiations, and executive-level discussions
A collaborative leadership style, comfortable operating across internal teams and external client organisations
