Responsibilities

Work closely with management and business leaders to create the program scope, objectives, and risk assessment
Manage and facilitate execution and operating mechanisms coordinated with business cadence
Manage program kick-off, cross-functional core team meetings, complexity assessment, scope/change management, risk management, integrated program planning/execution, and communication
Work closely with product marketing to finalize and document customer and product requirements
Direct and coordinate activities of the core cross-functional team to ensure that the project progresses on schedule and within budget while meeting established system requirements
Confer with project team leaders to develop plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
Review status reports prepared by project team leaders and combines information into a program status report to present and/or submit to management and others
Confer with program personnel to provide technical advice and problem resolution
Prepare and/or facilitate development of program objectives, milestones, meeting minutes, risk assessment meetings, escalation meetings, design reviews, and design changes
Work on process improvement initiatives related to New Product Development (NPD) or Cost Reduction processes
Work with sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, supplier development engineers (SDE), and external partners (suppliers/vendors) with project execution
Travel up to 25% to start for building relationships and network with Division and Factory Engineering and Operations teams

Required

BS degree, Engineering discipline preferred with 5+ years of related experience
Experience leading one or more complex development projects
Experience working with product development and cost reduction processes
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive program specific issues and goals to closure
Ability to integrate business, marketing, and technical elements
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Self-starter who is proactive, accountable, engaged and takes initiative
Able to function in a team environment and ability to successfully negotiate and build consensus
Takes responsibility for project execution and drives projects to successful completion
Skilled at problem solving, developing alternatives, and presenting recommendations
Proficient at defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions
Ability to develop detailed project schedules and perform cross functional risk management
Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management

Preferred

Experience working with virtual and offshore teams
Experience with HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration) systems
Six Sigma or Lean certification
Strong understanding of consumer products, software, and hardware development
Experience with project management software
