Manager of Marketing Design & Content
The Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center of Florida is a nonprofit organization dedicated to using the lessons of the Holocaust to foster a just and caring community. They are seeking a Manager of Marketing Design & Content to develop content and design assets that enhance community engagement and support various programs and fundraising efforts. This role will also involve collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager and provide coverage during a maternity leave.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with curatorial, education, collections, and exhibition teams to design interpretive materials for permanent and temporary exhibitions, including but not limited to:
Exhibition title treatments and visual identities
Interpretive panels, text hierarchies, and graphic layouts
Object labels, captions, timelines, and maps
Wayfinding and orientation graphics within galleries
Large-format graphics, wall murals, and environmental graphics
Interactive and digital content design (where applicable), including screen-based graphics and visual assets for multimedia components
Produce branded materials that support museum operations, programming, and outreach across departments, including:
Printed materials such as pamphlets, brochures, programs, flyers, rack cards, and reports
Digital graphics for email campaigns, presentations, and internal communications
Social media graphics and campaign visuals aligned with institutional branding
Event and program collateral, including invitations, signage, and promotional assets
Educational materials for classroom and community programs
Maintain and apply HMREC brand standards across all public-facing materials; ensure consistency of tone, typography, and visual identity
Support the buildout and help management with a monthly content calendar for HMREC across social, email, and web
Produce and publish content that promotes HMREC’s programs, events, exhibits, education initiatives, and fundraising priorities
Capture and develop storytelling assets (photos/video, interviews, quotes, program highlights) and maintain an organized digital asset library
Support the creation, scheduling, and posting of social media content; support community management (monitoring comments/messages, routing inquiries as needed)
Support the development of campaign content around key moments (e.g., exhibits, commemorations, educational series) and amplify partner/community collaborations
Draft, design, and deploy emails/newsletters with clear calls-to-action and audience segmentation as available
Update and optimize website pages and event/program listings for clarity, accuracy, and conversion (registrations, donations, ticketing, etc.)
Serve as a cross-department partner to translate program needs into timely marketing deliverables (education, events, development, operations)
Manage intake of requests, set priorities, and track deadlines; coordinate with vendors/freelancers when needed (printing, photography, ad support)
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in marketing/communications with a strong emphasis on content creation + graphic design (nonprofit, cultural, education, or mission-driven experience strongly preferred)
Demonstrated ability to plan, create, and distribute multi-channel content
Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva)
Proficiency with video editing platforms for video editing workflows (e.g., CapCut and DaVinci Resolve)
Strong writing/editing skills with attention to tone, accuracy, and audience
Ability to maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor while working with diverse colleagues, volunteers and vendors
Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Must pass background check
Preferred
Experience supporting museum, education, cultural, or public-facing community programming marketing
Familiarity with email platforms, social scheduling tools, and basic website CMS updates
Experience marketing events and/or fundraising campaigns
