Responsibilities

Developing new applications with customers, value chain partners, and internal teams at Chemours
Developing next-generation products aligned with customer and market needs
Leading initiatives to identify end-use performance needs and create internal tests for accurate assessment
Assisting customers with technical inquiries, material selection, and process optimization, including hands-on processing in Chemours’s labs and at customer facilities, and addressing quality concerns through analytical information
Collaborating with a global team of scientists and maintaining connections with manufacturing technology and operations personnel to support projects
Developing and maintaining technical bulletins, literature, and reports
Contributing to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives of safety data sheets, first order process and product stewardship evaluations
Gathering competitive intelligence and developing SWOT analyses by studying websites, publications and intellectual property
Defining resources needed for success and working with leadership to prioritize needs
Establishing and practicing safe lab operation procedures
Mentoring and serving as a role model for colleagues

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar with 5+ years of experience
Experience working with thermopolymers and/or thermoplastics
Demonstrated performance in Chemours's values of Safety, Integrity, Partnership, Ownership and Respect
Strong interpersonal relationship skills
Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to present technical concepts, data, and processing guidance in an articulate and organized manner. Requires customer interaction
Ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels in the organization while creating and maintaining a respectful and ethical work environment
Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills to independently complete tasks and to also work well in a team environment
Flexibility to travel within the region up to 30% of time, ability to travel internationally as needed
