Responsibilities
Support and enhance the company’s ISO 9001 QMS, including internal audits, document control, and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead the creation, review, and submission of AS9102D FAIRs aligned with aerospace customer requirements
Serve as the internal expert for IATF 16949 PPAPs, collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring submission readiness
Drive root cause analysis and CAPA using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, and Control Plans
Support the Customer Feedback System through product evaluations, root cause investigations, and corrective actions
Utilize statistical tools such as SPC and capability studies to monitor and improve product quality
Lead or support IQ/OQ/PQ for new equipment, processes, and systems
Perform material testing and dimensional inspections per drawings and specifications
Develop and maintain QMS documentation, including policies, procedures, forms, and records
Lead or support process improvement and kaizen activities across departments
Provide training on quality systems, standards, and tools to employees at all levels
Manage quality documentation including CoCs, CARs, PPAPs, FAIRs, IMDS submissions, and calibration records
Support change management activities to evaluate quality impact of engineering, process, or supplier changes
Promote a culture of safety and compliance in all activities
Assist with long‑ and short‑term strategy development and implementation
Ensure compliance with departmental, operational, and company-wide standards
Support other tasks and projects as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Experience with PPAP and ISO 9001
Strong Root Cause Analysis capabilities
Experience with quality documentation and FMEAs
Auditing background and exposure to lean manufacturing
High School diploma required
Experience in a quality engineering or quality systems role within manufacturing
Hands-on experience with PPAP, FAIR documentation, internal audits, and root cause analysis
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred
Training in ISO 9001, AS9100D, or IATF 16949 is highly beneficial
ASQ certifications (CQE, CQT, CSSGB, etc.) preferred
Experience with material testing, dimensional inspection, and process validation is a plus
