Payroll Intern

The Payroll Intern will support the Payroll team on a project focused on improving payroll data accuracy and quality while gaining practical experience in data analysis, documentation, and process management.

Responsibilities

Support data clean‑up efforts by reviewing pay types, identifying what is currently used, and helping streamline and organize payroll data
Analyze and validate information, clarifying questions and collaborating with the team to ensure data accuracy
Assist in documenting payroll processes, testing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and contributing to process maps that show how workflows across teams
Learn how payroll is processed end‑to‑end and gain exposure to how large‑scale projects are planned, managed, and executed
Help prepare clean, reliable historical data that will feed into a new payroll tool with AI capabilities
Work cross‑functionally with Payroll, People & Culture, and Operations/Distribution teams to understand their perspectives and how their work connects to payroll
Participate in project meetings, share progress updates, and support tasks needed to ensure a smooth go‑live
Perform other project‑related assigned duties

Required

Minimum 2.5 GPA
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
Reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or other relevant tools
