Director, Advanced Analytics, Data Enablement-Customer Engagement Service (CES)

Responsibilities
Build and maintain a standardized, scalable CES data foundation that ensures consistent and correct data structures across business units, markets, and future expansions
Establish, lead and execute CES data governance & stewardship practices. Make sure key meta data information, such as definitions, quality standards, lineage, and usage guidelines are documented in user friendly manner, ensuring data is trusted, compliant, and decision ready
Lead and influence 4ITB teams in close partnership with Data Engineering, owning the data enablement roadmap and driving execution to deliver measurable improvements in data trust, usability, and business impact. Proactively surface progress, outcomes, and success to senior stakeholders
Work closely with Data Engineering teams to ensure reliable data ingestion, transformation, governance, and production pipelines that support fast and accurate data delivery
Lead the upgrade and optimization of data jobs and processes to improve performance, reduce latency, and accelerate time-to-insight
Ensure all dashboards and analytics are powered by consistent, current, and trusted data sources, reducing duplication and misalignment across teams
Partner with business teams across Walmart to identify valuable data sources, expand CES data connectivity, and unlock new analytical and insight opportunities
Enable data and insights that help identify, prioritize, and solve customer pain points, improving customer experience and operational outcomes
Lead, mentor, and develop the Data Enablement team, fostering strong ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Drive ongoing enhancements to data standards, processes, and enablement capabilities, incorporating emerging technologies and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 5 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 7 years' experience in data analytics or related field
4 years' supervisory experience OR experience leading cross-functional teams
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
10+ years of experience in data, analytics, or data platform roles
5+ years of experience in people leadership and cross-functional collaboration
Strong understanding of data foundations, data modeling, and scalable data architectures
Experience partnering with data engineering teams on pipelines, jobs, and data platforms
Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and operational best practices
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience enabling enterprise-scale reporting and analytics
Ability to identify high-value data opportunities that drive customer and business impact
Cluster analysis techniques, simulation, inferential statistics, neural networks, or data mining techniques
