Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment to load, move, and transport materials such as sand, gravel, and aggregate
Assist with routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspections
Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, loading, unloading, and clearing debris
Ensure safe material handling and adherence to MSHA and OSHA safety regulations
Assist with site preparation, grading, and leveling for quarry operations
Support maintenance teams by reporting equipment issues or malfunctions
Help with daily setup and teardown of equipment for shift readiness
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to achieve operational goals
Promote a culture of safety and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience operating heavy equipment, including skid steers, loaders, excavators, and backhoes
Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing routine equipment maintenance
Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and varying weather
Strong safety awareness and knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations
Ability to pass a 7-year criminal background check, DOT physical, and drug screen
Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and coworkers
