Responsibilities
Acquire essential skills using industry-standard infrastructure tools and components such as firewalls, networks, storage and anti-malware/endpoint protection systems as well as security tools like MS Defender
Participate in various aspects of studio IT operations and cybersecurity support, including system monitoring, security best practices, access management, and incident response preparation
Support mid, senior, and lead IT and security team members by assisting with user support requests, documenting procedures, helping investigate security alerts, and supporting audits or compliance-related tasks
Enhance your understanding of cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and secure workflows support a game development studio and protect studio systems, data, and employees
Qualification
Required
Enrolled as a college Junior or Senior (Seniors could have graduated in Fall/Winter 2025 or will be graduating in Spring 2026)
Pursuing a 2-4 year degree in IT, Cyber Security, or related fields
Availability to work full-time (40 hrs / week) for the duration of the program (June 1st –August 21st, 2026)
Able to work onsite at our studio in San Carlos, CA for the first 1- 2 weeks for onboarding
Legal eligibility to work in the United States
Submission of a complete application that includes a resume, cover letter, and a link to your portfolio
Preferred
Coursework and/or certifications demonstrating foundational IT or Cyber Security skills, including one or more of the following: Labs, class projects, or certifications related to cybersecurity or IT systems
Personal projects such as home labs, scripting, or security research
Documentation, troubleshooting guides, or system diagrams you've created
Exposure to industry-standard IT and security tools, operating systems, or networking concepts (Windows, macOS, Linux, networking basics, authentication, access control)
Industry involvement outside classroom curriculum such as game jams, personal projects and/or contributions to group projects that show going above and beyond
Willingness to tackle challenges, learn from feedback, and adapt to new tools or workflows
Ability to communicate your ideas with eagerness to learn and turn feedback into action
