Responsibilities
Install, repair, program, and perform scheduled maintenance on Integrated in-vehicle equipment
Perform repairs and maintenance on critical infrastructure equipment
Provide support for critical system components such as servers
Qualification
Required
Possess a valid driver's license
Possess a medical examiner certification prior to offer
Possession of an associate's degree in electronic technology
Radio Communications Technician 8: No specific type or amount of experience is required
Radio Communications Technician 9: One year of experience equivalent to a Radio/Communications Technician 8
Radio Communications Technician E10: Two years of experience equivalent to Radio/Communications Technician, including one year equivalent to a Radio/Communications Technician 9
Three years of experience as a radio communications technician, three years of experience as an electronics technician performing electronics component repair, or three years of experience as an information technology technician working on computer hardware or infrastructure may be substituted for the education requirement
Possession of a bachelor's degree or higher with 16 semester (24 term) credits in job specific or related course work may be substituted for the education and experience requirements
