New GradKohler Co. is seeking a motivated and hands-on Youth Apprentice to join their Prototyping team. This role offers practical experience in a dynamic engineering environment, supporting the development of prototypes and first-of-its-kind components while collaborating with experienced technicians.

Responsibilities
Operate manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, drill press and bandsaws
Safely use welders, table saws, and construction hand tools
Assist in the fabrication and assembly of prototype parts
Apply problem-solving skills to support design and build challenges
Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
Use measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and height gauges
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols
Participate in continuous learning and skill development under mentorship
Opportunity to expand skillset into more advanced tools
After mastering core fundamentals, there is opportunity to operate CNC mills and lathes, gaining hands-on experience with advanced machining technologies and digital manufacturing
Qualification
Required
High school students with interest in engineering, manufacturing, or skilled trades
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and hand tools
Strong attention to detail, a can-do attitude, and willingness to learn
Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
Able to communicate ideas and teamwork skills
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
