Grants Writer & Manager (Full Time)
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northern Indiana Corridor is seeking a Grants Writer & Manager to drive institutional grant revenue. This role involves identifying, securing, managing, and stewarding grants that support the organization’s mission, requiring strong writing skills and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary grant revenue driver for BGCNIC, contributing significantly to the organization’s annual fundraising goals
Research, identify, and evaluate foundation and corporate grant opportunities aligned with BGCNIC programs, strategic plan, and community impact
Develop and manage a robust pipeline of prospective and existing institutional funders
Lead all aspects of grant proposal development, including letters of inquiry, full proposals, budgets, narratives, and required attachments
Collaborate with program, finance, and leadership teams to gather data, outcomes, and financial information necessary for competitive proposals
Ensure proposals are compelling, accurate, and aligned with funder priorities and BGCNIC’s mission
Manage a portfolio of foundation and corporate grants from solicitation through award, reporting, and renewal
Support stewardship efforts for grant-related donors, including acknowledgment letters, impact updates, and relationship touchpoints
Partner with the CDO on strategy, cultivation, and relationship management for high-priority institutional funders
Ensure timely and accurate grant reporting and compliance, including narrative and financial reports
Track grant deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements to ensure full compliance with funder expectations
Maintain accurate records in the organization’s CRM and grant tracking systems, ensuring data integrity and transparency
Work cross-functionally with development, programs, finance, and operations to align grant activity with organizational needs and outcomes
Provide support for development-related events and other fundraising efforts as a member of the Resource Development team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required (English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or related field preferred)
Proven experience in grant writing and management, with a track record of securing foundation and/or corporate funding
Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to translate program impact into compelling narratives
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Experience with CRM systems and grant tracking tools
Ability to work collaboratively across departments while independently managing priorities
Preferred
Experience in youth development, education, or nonprofit human services organizations
Familiarity with Boys & Girls Clubs or similar mission-driven organizations
Knowledge of local, regional, and national philanthropic landscapes
