Responsibilities
Prepare and submit customs entries for imports and exports, ensuring compliance with CBP regulations
Review shipping documents, invoices, and commercial paperwork to ensure accuracy
Classify goods under the correct Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes
Calculate duties, taxes, and fees, and coordinate with customs brokers and clients
Communicate with internal teams, carriers, and clients to resolve discrepancies or compliance issues
Maintain accurate records of all customs entries and related documentation
Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and trade compliance requirements
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Customs Entry Writer, Customs Broker, or in a similar role within freight forwarding or logistics
Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and import/export compliance
Familiarity with HTS codes, duty calculations, and CBP documentation
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a hybrid environment (part-time in office, part-time remote)
