Responsibilities

Plans and performs testing and development and uses scientific methods to address and resolve technical problems
Determines acceptability of products and materials in conjunction with Quality organizations
Improves and refines existing fixtures, devices, methods, process steps or procedures, implementing changes as necessary
Provide training in machine operation and first line production support to hourly employees

Required

4 years relevant experience or 2+ years' experience in a related technical role plus 2-year technical degree or 4-year technical degree
Some positions within this classification may require unique electrical, mechanical, chemical processing and/or electronic skills and abilities
Ability to travel as determined by the needs of the business
Ability to work hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
United States Citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

Preferred

Previous experience with manufacturing, assembly, and inspection processes
Experience with CAD such as SolidWorks and/or Creo
