Lottery Marketing Intern
The State of Iowa - Executive Branch is seeking marketing interns for the Iowa Lottery, which aims to responsibly raise funds for state programs. The interns will work on promotional events, assist in marketing tasks, and represent the lottery at various community events throughout Iowa.

Responsibilities
Work individually on tasks in the office and as a team to represent Iowa Lottery at various promotional events
Travel to and from events, setup & teardown of the lottery tent/booth, and staffing of the tent/booth during individual events
Sell tickets to the public, answer questions about lottery products and programs, and conduct promotional giveaways of lottery prizes
Prepare and document event planning, procure lottery tickets, track sales, and maintain inventory used for promotions
Shadow and assist with various other marketing, promotion and sales tasks including creative design, advertising, project management, and agency collaboration
Qualification
Required
Must be 18 years of age and completed at least one year of college by start of internship
Strong communication skills and great attention to detail are required
Willingness to travel with a lottery vehicle, within the state of Iowa is required
Clean driving record and a valid driver's license
Applicants must be currently enrolled students in a degree program at an accredited educational institution
Preferred
Preferred majors/coursework include, but are not limited to, Advertising, Business, Communications, Marketing, or Sales
Prior retail sales, event, or promotional experience is a plus
