Responsibilities
Audit schedules and correct billing details to ensure accurate charges and claim readiness
Submit and track insurance claims, including required documentation
Post and reconcile insurance payments (EFT/mail) accurately and consistently
Resolve denials, rejections, and delayed payments through follow-up with carriers
Manage accounts receivable and patient balances, including statements, refunds, and collections support
Qualification
Required
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Superior organizational skills
Must be friendly and be able to maintain a smile and positive attitude in high-pressured environments
Must be a team player and work well with others
Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks
Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office
High school diploma or its equivalent
Knowledge of oral surgery and/or dental terminology
Knowledge of CDT, CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and coding practices
Minimum of 2 years of billing/insurance experience in a dental or medical practice is required, and oral surgery experience is a plus!
Prior posting insurance payments, understanding EOBs/write offs, navigating insurance portals, and working AR reports is required for this role
