Responsibilities

Lead and support the planning, development, and execution of multiple simultaneous programs, workshops, celebrations, and events reflecting cultural values, heritages, and contemporary issues, ensuring they are accessible, well-organized, and community centered
Identify and research educational themes to support the Center's programming. Design interactive, experiential learning materials and programs to promote intercultural understanding and student engagement
Work alongside team members and student leaders to turn ideas into actionable plans—offering structure, guidance, logistical support, and hands-on assistance throughout the process to ensure high-quality execution
Identify opportunities for program growth and sustainability, including potential grants and partnerships to enhance the Center's impact
Foster an environment to encourage belonging, curiosity, and mutual respect
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners to strengthen engagement and create shared initiatives
Represent the Center in collaborative initiatives and community meetings, ensuring alignment with the Center's goals and values
Act as a connector—linking people, ideas, and resources to support collective success
Support individual and team development through constructive feedback, shared learning opportunities, and clear expectations for performance
Oversee the assessment of programs and events by collecting feedback, tracking participation, and evaluating outcomes to support continuous improvement
Prepare and present reports and data summaries to inform planning, decision-making, and strategic initiatives
Manage program budgets responsibly, ensuring transparent and efficient use of financial resources
Assist in identifying and securing external funding opportunities, including grants and sponsorships, to support program sustainability and growth
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the overall success of the Center and its mission
May serve as proxy for the Director

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in higher education administration, intercultural studies, or a related field plus two years of experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in higher education, student affairs, student engagement, or community outreach. (Master's degree preferred)
Demonstrated experience leading and supporting teams with a focus on collaboration, shared responsibility, and mutual growth
Skilled in making sound independent decisions, delegating to enable others to accomplish the desired result, and empowering others to take ownership of their work while modeling professionalism and accountability
Experienced in coaching and mentoring teams to achieve shared goals and foster individual success
Strong background in developing, implementing, and evaluating educational and community-based programs to promote cultural awareness, education, and engagement
Demonstrated ability to conduct and apply academic research to inform program development, event content, and intercultural education initiatives
Skilled in identifying credible sources, synthesizing information, and translating scholarly work into accessible, relevant materials for general audiences
Demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate with a broad array of individuals and groups, including students, faculty, staff

Preferred

Experience participating in grant-writing or funding development efforts to expand program capacity and sustainability
