Senior Program Manager - Career Leader Education
The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. They are seeking a Senior Program Manager to manage the development and implementation of innovative education programs for nurse leaders, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and addressing leadership development needs.

Responsibilities
Manage the development and implementation of creative, innovative, engaging education programs that address the leadership development needs of participants at the early-mid stages of competency development. Identify knowledge and practice gaps for target audience and recommend program modifications and potential new programs
Serve as content expert when needed and serve as primary faculty for designated programs. As a nurse planner, incorporate continuing education requirements and documentation, ensuring alignment with provider unit guidelines. Collaborate with the Lead Nurse Planner and Approved Provider Program Director to ensure alignment with all requirements for providing nursing continuing professional development contact hours
In conjunction with supervisor and other team members, identify creative ways to develop nurse leaders beyond the classroom to meet the AONL mission to equip nurse leaders to have an impact on transforming health care. Work with team to establish education goals that align with the AONL and AHA strategic plans, and the mission and vision of the continuing education provider unit
Review program content annually. Ensure content is contemporary, relevant, engaging and based on AONL competencies and current available evidence, engaging for leaders from all settings across the healthcare continuum. Stay abreast of innovative delivery and learning modalities for adult and professional learners. Adjust programming in alignment with Director and Senior Director and AONL/AHA strategic goals, as needed
Monitor, evaluate, and respond to participant feedback and faculty feedback for all assigned programs
Develop structures to continue engaging participants’ involvement in AONL following programs to continue leadership development and assist in a “journey map” for participants
Manage and facilitate designated AONL fellowships, including participant selection process and curriculum oversight, under the direction of the Education team Director. Coordinate mentors for participants as appropriate to the program, guide program participants by providing regular communication during the fellowship year and input into participant projects. Maintain program alumni database and correspondence, responding to educational needs as they arise
Collaborate with AONL education team to create and produce an AONL annual conference that is relevant and engaging to AONL members

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required
5+ years Nursing experience Required
Nursing education, curriculum or program development experience Required
Effective knowledge of nurse leadership education needs - Required
Effective knowledge of innovative educational technology, tools and resources - Required
Effective knowledge to develop, implement and evaluate educational programming - Required
Basic understanding of nonprofit membership association operations - Required
Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Required
Effective ability to teach using virtual platforms and present educational content in an engaging and effective manner - Required
Effective knowledge of budgeting and tracking expenses. - Required
Strong leadership skills that educate, guide and mentor colleagues to meet goals - Required
