Program Chair - AS in Early Childhood Ed
Post University is seeking a Program Chair for their AS in Early Childhood Education program, responsible for providing academic leadership and program oversight. This role entails ensuring high-quality curriculum delivery, faculty excellence, and strong student outcomes while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and academic leadership for the program
Lead program development to ensure rigor, relevance, and alignment with institutional standards
Ensure course outcomes, assessments, and competencies are current; evidence-based and reinforce work force-ready skills
Collaborate with faculty and instructional design teams on continuous curriculum enhancements
Recruit, onboard, review credentials, mentor, and evaluate faculty. Assist with faculty scheduling when needed
Support faculty in implementing best practices in teaching, assessment, attendance tracking, and student engagement
Facilitate regular faculty meetings and promote a culture of collaboration, belonging, and academic excellence
Monitor student progression, attendance, performance, and persistence
Address academic concerns and collaborate with student services to support student success. For example, the Honors Program, Wellness, Dean of Students, etc
Lead program evaluation and continuous improvement processes
Collect, analyze, and report data for accreditation, regulatory, and institutional requirements
Partner with admissions, advising, marketing, and academic operations to support enrollment growth and program quality
Represent the program on university committees and academic initiatives, including advisory boards
Teach courses in the program annually. Familiarize yourself with relevant technology
Other responsibilities will vary by school based on the College’s strategic focus and initiatives
Qualification
Required
Terminal degree (or be in progress towards a terminal degree) in a relevant school discipline
Minimum of five years of experience in higher education and/or related professional experience

Ensures curricula are developed, implemented, and revised to reflect the State Office of Early Childhood (OEC) Standards, the NAEYC Higher Education Accreditation Standards, and the Professional Standards and Competencies for Early Childhood Educators
Manages other ongoing NAEYC accreditation requirements for the Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education (ASECE) degree
Oversees ongoing collection and analysis of key assessment data
Ensures program and course compliance with current accreditation standards
Collaborate with the Program Chair for Child Studies to prepare comprehensive reports as required for NAEYC accreditation
Works with the Accreditation, Assessment, Advising, Registrar, and other departments as needed
Oversee the Reaccreditation Self-Study, requiring work with faculty, associate faculty, students, alumni, advisory board, and Post University Leadership team
Maintains oversight of practicum, assuring that course content is relevant and suitable for our varied student population
Collaborate with the Practicum Coordinator and the Assistant Program Chairs of Field Experience and Student Success as needed on placements for students completing internships in early childhood settings
