Educational Data Compilation (ARP Project Mentor Grant)

100 BLACK MEN OF GREATER MOBILE INC is seeking a Statistician for Educational Data Compilation to support the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Project Mentor Grant. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting educational data to ensure compliance with grant requirements and support program evaluation efforts.

Education Management

Responsibilities

Compile, clean, and manage educational data related to student participation, attendance, academic progress, social-emotional development, and program outcomes
Design and maintain data collection tools (e.g., surveys, tracking logs, assessment instruments) aligned with ARP grant objectives
Analyze program data using appropriate statistical methods to evaluate effectiveness and identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement
Generate periodic data reports, dashboards, and summaries for internal review, grant compliance, and external reporting requirements
Support pre- and post-program assessments to measure participant growth and program impact
Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical handling of student and mentor data in compliance with FERPA and organizational policies
Collaborate with the Program Manager and stakeholders to establish performance metrics and measurable outcomes
Assist in preparing data narratives, charts, and tables for grant reports, presentations, and audits
Monitor data quality and recommend continuous improvement strategies for data collection and evaluation processes
Maintain organized records and documentation to support grant monitoring and sustainability efforts

Required

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Educational Research, Data Science, Public Policy, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Demonstrated experience in educational data analysis, program evaluation, or grant-funded initiatives
Proficiency in statistical software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, Python, or similar platforms)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Experience working with student-level or educational program data
Knowledge of FERPA and best practices for data confidentiality and ethical data use
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights

Preferred

Experience working with nonprofit organizations, youth mentoring programs, or community-based initiatives
Familiarity with American Rescue Plan (ARP) reporting requirements or similar federal/state grant compliance
Ability to work independently while meeting grant deadlines and reporting schedules
Cultural competence and a demonstrated commitment to youth development, education, and community empowerment
