Philanthropy Coordinator, Volunteer Services

Father Joe's Villages is dedicated to serving the community through volunteer services. The Philanthropy Coordinator, Volunteer Services, serves as the first point of contact for individuals and groups wishing to volunteer, coordinating activities and managing relationships with volunteers and donors.

Responsibilities

Coordinates and supervises volunteer activities for 15+ Village programs (on and off-site)
Manages volunteer activities using Volunteer Hub and maintains the volunteer database, events, and hours
Develops and maintains positive and lasting relationships with volunteers, staff, donors and community members
Assesses, answers, and records, all incoming volunteer calls and email inquiries
Facilitates group and individual orientations and conducts interviews
Assists with public presentations and tours
Meets with new volunteers and donors and welcomes them to the Village
Monitors daily activity with programs to ensure volunteer effectiveness and satisfaction
Addresses volunteer issues and follows process of termination of volunteer activities when warranted
Contacts volunteers to inquire about their experience and ensure satisfaction and retention
Works with Volunteer Services team to plan and implement appreciation activities and events for annual Volunteer Appreciation Month in April and ongoing recognition activities
Coordinates donation drives with individuals and groups
Prepares and maintains all records, statistics, and reports
Oversees compliance requirements
On time completion of assigned training and policies
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Two to three years of volunteer coordinator experience or similar role
Two to three years of administrative experience
Two to three years of customer service experience
Intermediate user of MS Office, including Teams and Zoom
Be at least 21 years old with at least three years of driving experience; possess a valid California driver's license; and have no Class 1 or more than two Class 2 violations within the past 36 months
Participate in an annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings as necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be granted where appropriate

Preferred

Bachelor‘s degree preferred
Experience as a direct volunteer, preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
Knowledge of CRM databases, such as Volunteer Hub and Raiser's Edge, preferred
