Responsibilities

Lead the design and scale-up of the Treeswift hardware devices (backpack and vehicle-mounted Swiftpacks)
Chart the path forward on hardware development
Build an outstanding team of mission-driven engineers
Foster a culture of high ownership and relentless curiosity
Collaborate closely with software, product, customer and sales teams
Get up to speed on the current state of the business and technology of Treeswift
Oversee the ongoing execution of the current hardware team
Form an opinion on priority hiring needs and launched those searches
Successfully hired and onboarded the most critical roles necessary for the hardware team
Delivered on (at least one) major redesign and ramp-up project
Established design, production, and testing best practices on the team for in-progress builds
Launched greenfield hardware initiatives as needed

Required

Lead the design and scale-up of the Treeswift hardware devices (backpack and vehicle-mounted Swiftpacks)
Establish frameworks and standards for DFM, DFA, reliability, and testing
Innovate on hardware development for new product lines
Support and build a team of exceptional, mission-driven engineers
Lead on hiring and growing the hardware team in partnership with company leadership
Foster a culture of high ownership and relentless curiosity
Collaborate closely with software, product, customer, and sales teams
Oversee the ongoing execution of the current hardware team
Identify priority hiring needs and launch searches for new roles
Successfully hire and onboard critical roles for the hardware team
Deliver on at least one major redesign and ramp-up project
Establish design, production, and testing best practices for in-progress builds
Launch greenfield hardware initiatives as needed
