Responsibilities
Manage an assigned portfolio of delinquent accounts and drive timely resolution
Contact debtors via phone, email, and written correspondence to discuss outstanding balances, payment options, and negotiate repayment plans
Accurately document all collection activities, including communications, payment agreements, and relevant account details, in compliance with client and regulatory guidelines
Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, providing clear and accurate information, and addressing concerns professionally
Use skip-tracing tools and techniques to locate debtors with updated or difficult-to-find contact information
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
1-5 years of experience in collections or a customer service role, preferably in a financial or credit environment
Proficiency with collections software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of debt collection laws, regulations, and compliance standards
Must be eligible to obtain the required collections license upon placement
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to communicate respectfully and professionally
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and empathy
Ability to manage difficult conversations and resolve conflicts while maintaining professionalism
Strong attention to detail with effective organizational and time-management skills
Dependable and flexible, with the ability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts as required
Basic computer proficiency

Some college coursework in business or a related field preferred
