Responsibilities
Concept, design, and develop complex mechanical systems
Use 3D CAD to accurately model mechanical parts and assemblies
Produce drawings, specifications, and other documentation
Perform analysis and calculations to properly size systems
Lead Projects or assist in project management (depending on level), including cost and schedule estimates, procurement, outsource manufacturing, and vendor coordination
Assist in the assembly, installation, and commissioning of machines
Support existing machines using hands-on troubleshooting in a production environment, and by implementing improvement projects
Qualification
Required
Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology, or a similar field
2+ years of professional experience engineering large systems
Experience with NX, CATIA, or equivalent CAD software
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to manage priorities and execute tasks in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
Able to work well in an integrated, collaborative, team environment including daily interactions with technicians, millwrights, machinists, engineers, and managers
Must be self-motivated and self-directed with attention to detail
Preferred
Experience with machine design, manufacturing automation, or robotics
Skilled in Stress Analysis, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics
Experienced in designing large assembly models and drawings in CAD
Experienced with managing outsourced manufacturing
Hands-on experience supporting assembly, installation, or commissioning machinery
