Responsibilities
The DeltaV Automation Engineer will provide downstream process automation support for equipment and systems within the DSM area, including:
Buffer Preparation and Hold
Purification – Chromatography (LPC)
Viral Filtration (VF)
Ultrafiltration (UF)
Diafiltration (DF)
Dispensing systems
Attend regular project status meetings with Automation Engineers and System Integrators
Participate in weekly DSM Automation Huddle meetings to provide project and execution updates
Provide design review input and automation requirements for one or more process areas
Attend System Integrator functional reviews and provide technical feedback
Review lifecycle documentation to ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements
Review, approve, and support generation of Kneat validation documentation , including:
DeltaV Software FATs and SATs
Automation Commissioning Test Protocols
Software OQs
Software Installation Verification protocols
Oversee and manage System Integrator activities related to loop checks and commissioning
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Automation, CSV, CQV, Utilities, Process Engineering , and other project stakeholders as required
Qualification
Required
4+ years of hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS
Experience working in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with FDA regulatory requirements
Working knowledge of Kneat validation software
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Fluent in English with the ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and with management
Preferred
Experience supporting Drug Substance Manufacturing (DSM) operations
Familiarity with quality and compliance systems such as: MasterControl, ComplianceWire, TrackWise, Veeva
