As an Intern in the IEC Engineering department, you will support instrumentation, electrical, and control systems, gaining hands-on experience with PLCs and HMIs while working alongside experienced professionals.

Responsibilities
Learn about Instrumentation, Electrical, and Controls by helping the IEC team deploy and support industrial automation control systems, including PLCs and HMIs
Assist with projects to implement new control systems and upgrade existing infrastructure
Perform hands-on troubleshooting and gain practical experience with PLCs, instrumentation, and electrical gear
Establish a deep understanding of HMI applications and Python programming by helping to manage and improve a standard library of programming objects and templates deployed company wide
Qualification
Required
Student actively enrolled in an approved Engineering (electrical preferred) degree program with expected graduation date of December 2025 through December 2027
Proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
Passion for innovation and problem-solving, as well as a continuous drive to improve processes
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software applications and platforms
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to take on additional tasks and shift priorities on short notice
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines
Ability to think strategically and manage change
