This role offers engineering students the opportunity to gain practical experience in designing, developing, and testing electrical motors and automation systems while collaborating with experienced engineers.

Responsibilities
Work with engineers to design, test, document, and validate new products
Build, document, and validate the electro-mechanical performance of motors, drives, and circuitry
Alleviate design issues and/or improve designs through the engineering change procedure
Execute tests, analyze data, and generate technical reports to inform management
Develop GUI and electronic hardware to perform automated tests
Write or edit code to debug test simulation and/or equipment
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
Sophomore or higher-level standing
Coursework or experience related to electrical engineering principles
Proficiency using Microsoft Office
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize thoughts, files, and data well
Team player with a highly pro-active and positive attitude with ability to work on own or in a team as needed
Preferred
Knowledge or interest in electrical motors and/or drives
Ability to interpret drawings and schematics
Experience working in lab or shop environment
Hands-on capability with typical electrical test and measurement equipment
Familiar with electronic component technical data sheets
