Responsibilities
Conduct on-site supplier assessments using Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) criteria
Evaluate new and existing suppliers’ technological capabilities
Support supplier selection and performance management initiatives
Lead and participate in APQP activities, ensuring thorough process control implementation
Review and validate PPAP submissions and process documentation (FMEA, Control Plans, Gage R&R)
Audit process controls for effectiveness and validate process capability
Review, approve, and validate 8D corrective actions
Support supplier continuous improvement efforts through Lean, BIQ, 6 Sigma, and waste-reduction initiatives
Monitor supplier readiness, including people, tooling, fixtures, and equipment
Support quality metric development, reporting, and Supplier Performance Reviews
Work closely with engineering, quality, purchasing, and supply chain teams to resolve issues involving purchased materials, logistics, or design changes
Support New Product Introduction (NPI), Concurrent Product & Process Development (CPPD), and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
0–2 years of relevant experience (internships accepted)
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and shop operations
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to apply statistical/problem-solving tools
Experience with EtQ (PPAP, NCM, PCM, deviations)
Print reading / blueprint interpretation
Clear, professional communication (individual + group settings)
Detail-oriented, highly organized, strong time management
Self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision
Preferred
Quality certifications (ASQ, Quality Engineering) are desirable
