Responsibilities

Support the Simulator Common Architecture Requirements and Standards (SCARS) Team
Play a pivotal role in improving cybersecurity and promoting greater standardization of simulator components
Leverage a modular open systems architecture to transform operational challenges into effective technical solutions within Air Force simulation and training environments
Drive innovation and advance mission capabilities through proficiency in data analysis, optimization, and high-performance computing

Required

7+ years of experience in Department of Defense simulation and training environments
Experience in applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF), implementing DoD security controls, and supporting system accreditation
Knowledge of High-Level Architecture, Distributed Interactive Simulation, and Open Mission Systems standards
Ability to architect, integrate, and manage complex systems across distributed simulation environments
Ability to provide constructive feedback on SCARS standards
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science Field
IAT Level II Certification

Preferred

Experience with Air Force or DOD acquisitions, program planning, and coordination, including the use of Microsoft Project and Excel to support these activities
Experience in LAN or WAN infrastructure, remote connectivity solutions, and network hardware, including routers, bridges, and firewalls
Knowledge of systems engineering and standards processes, based on the Systems Engineering Body of Knowledge (SeBoK)
Knowledge of cloud technology, software virtualization and containerization, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, and Digital Engineering (DE)
Possession of strong communication and public speaking skills
Top Secret clearance
