Responsibilities
Work with engineers to design, test, document, and validate new products
Build, document, and validate the electro-mechanical performance of motors, drives, and circuitry
Alleviate design issues and/or improve designs through the engineering change procedure
Execute tests, analyze data, and generate technical reports to inform management
Create CAD models, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks
Learn to run electromagnetic, thermal, and/or stress simulations in ANSYS
Design test and assembly fixtures to aid manufacturing of product
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent
Sophomore or higher-level standing
Coursework or experience related to mechanical engineering principles
Proficiency using Microsoft Office
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize thoughts, files, and data well
Team player with a highly proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work individually or in a team as needed
Preferred
Knowledge or interest in electrical motors and/or rotating equipment
Ability to interpret drawings and schematics
Experience working in a lab or shop environment
Hands-on capability with typical electrical test and measurement equipment
Familiar with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analyses
