Responsibilities

Partner with the HR Director and Plant Leadership to develop and execute people strategies that support operational goals
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement
Ensure consistency of HR practices across all three plants while addressing site-specific operational needs
Lead complex employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, and conflict resolution
Support labor relations activities in a union and/or non-union manufacturing environment, including contract interpretation and issue resolution as applicable
Promote a positive, compliant, and respectful workplace culture aligned with company values
Oversee recruiting, selection, onboarding, and retention strategies for hourly and salaried employees
Support leadership development, training initiatives, and succession planning efforts
Partner with HR team members to ensure staffing aligns with production demands and business needs
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, OSHA, etc.)
Interpret, communicate, and enforce company policies consistently across all supported plants
Support internal audits, reporting, and HR documentation requirements
Coach leaders on performance management, corrective action, and employee development
Support compensation programs, promotions, and workforce planning initiatives
Analyze workforce data (turnover, absenteeism, engagement) and recommend corrective or improvement actions
Support benefits administration, leave management, and employee accommodations
Collaborate with Safety, Payroll, and Benefits teams to ensure seamless HR service delivery
Participate in HR projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and special assignments as directed by the HR Director

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
5–8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment
Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, complex employee relations matters
Strong communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred

Experience supporting multiple locations or large employee populations preferred
Union experience preferred (if applicable)
Regular presence on the manufacturing floor
Ability to work flexible hours to support multiple shifts
Occasional travel between plant locations
