Fundraising and Development Manager
Habitat for Humanity Monterey Bay is a nonprofit organization focused on building affordable homes and providing home ownership opportunities. The Fundraising and Development Manager is responsible for leading fundraising efforts, cultivating donor relationships, and implementing strategic initiatives to secure philanthropic revenue in support of the organization's mission.

Responsibilities
Plan, implement, and manage annual fundraising strategies to meet organizational revenue goals
Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle from initiating contacts through stewardship
Meet specific annual fundraising goals and contact metrics set with the Chief Executive Officer
Lead donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts, including individual giving, major donors, and monthly donor programs
Develop and execute online fundraising initiatives and seasonal appeals
Steward donors through personalized communication, meetings, and engagement activities
Oversee donor recognition initiatives and maintain accurate records in the organization’s donor database (Bloomerang)
Plan and coordinate fundraising events, community fundraisers, and donor appreciation events
Collaborate with program staff to develop compelling proposals, reports, and presentations for donors
Support organization-wide events, outreach efforts, and public communications as needed
Analyze donor data to tailor fundraising approaches
Participate in the creation of the annual development plan and metrics for corporate and foundation relations and major gifts
Manage the annual schedule of grant deadlines. Work in partnership with subject matter experts and Grant Writer to complete and submit grant applications
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, donor relations, or similar role
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
Reliable transportation and ability to work on site weekly at office and as needed at partner locations throughout Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and cultivate relationships with diverse stakeholders
Demonstrates high level professionalism in all written and verbal communications, appearance, and interactions
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding fundraising goals
Skilled in creating powerful, compelling written and oral communications for fundraising efforts through storytelling
Strong project management and organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Bloomerang/CRM, Microsoft Office, and marketing tools such as Canva
Ability to work independently toward big picture goals and effectively collaborate with others
