nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. They are seeking a General Accounting Associate to manage vendor invoices, maintain freight costs, reconcile accounts, and assist in month-end closing processes.

Responsibilities

Code vendor invoices and verify correct general ledger account codes
Maintain freight costs on current projects to ensure they are properly billed to the customer
Accrue open invoices at month end when necessary
Reconcile accounts to general ledger accounts as directed
Generate month-end reports
Assist with monthly closing
Respond to inquiries from vendors and managers
Participate in process improvement projects
Perform other administrative tasks as directed

Qualification

Accounting experienceOracle experienceMS Office proficiencyProject-based accountingCommunication skillsAttention to detail

Required

5+ years of relevant accounting experience
Strong attention to detail, timeliness, and accuracy
Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

Preferred

Business/Accounting degree
Oracle experience
Project-based accounting a plus
