Legal Analyst
The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) is the pillar of human resources management for all state employees. They are seeking a Legal Analyst who will perform complex legal work under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager II, providing analytical support in a legal office environment.
Responsibilities
Provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in-person at least two days per week

Required

Please describe in detail your skills, knowledge and experience in a legal office, including the number of attorneys you supported, and how they align with this positions duty statement
Please describe your professional experience drafting, proofing and editing legal documents and legal correspondence
Please describe your knowledge and experience with litigation matters, and the level of legal support/assistance provided to attorneys including the work product in which you had to produce
Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov. All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position

Preferred
Knowledge and experience in civil litigation
Strong knowledge and understanding of the California Style Manual
Knowledge in proofing and editing legal documents and identifying case citations
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and short timelines
Ability to work with multiple levels of staff and management
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; Interpersonal skills
Ability to prepare correspondence independently, with minimal grammatical errors
Ability to professionally and effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Keen attention to detail
Punctuality, dependability, and reliability
