The Director, Warehouse Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing all warehouse and distribution activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

Responsibilities

Design and implement inventory management, distribution and internal replenishment strategies, optimizing labor, touches, inventory control, configurability and inventory turns while owning labor, operating expense, and capital resource planning across factories, service and repair facilities, and aftermarket sales channels across North America
Evaluate existing tools, systems and software; develop business cases, budgets, and implementation timelines for improvement, with significant influence over ERP configuration and enterprise system optimization initiatives
Prepare and present inventory performance, financial impacts, and risk assessments to senior leadership, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support enterprise decision-making
Monitor and analyze inventory performance metrics and financial KPIs, identifying resource, capacity, and cost optimization opportunities and driving corrective actions aligned to corporate objectives
Ensure warehouse operations and resource plans align with broader supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics strategies, budgets, and long-range business forecasts

Required

4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field from an accredited (or equivalent experience)
15 years of progressive warehouse or distribution experience with multi-site manufacturing and service environments. Manufacturing experience in industrial setting utilizing lean principles and continuous improvement
15 years of progressive leadership experience leading cross-functional leaders, teams and individual contributors in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
10 years of demonstrated experience with safety compliance and operational KPIs
10 years of experience improving systems and processes evaluating, implementing and configuring ERP, MES and TMS solutions
Strong knowledge of Logistics, inventory control, manufacturing and distribution best practices in a high-mix, low-volume environment
Deep knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive positioning to inform strategic planning and operational decision-making
Comprehensive understanding of enterprise-level systems, including ERP, MES, and other digital platforms supporting operational scalability and data-driven execution
Strong knowledge of organizational design principles, change management methodologies, and financial governance within complex organizations
Advanced understanding of risk management frameworks, including operational, financial, and compliance-related risk assessment and mitigation planning
Visionary leadership skills with the ability to influence organizational direction, align teams to strategic objectives, and drive enterprise-wide change
High-level negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, including executive leadership, cross-functional partners, vendors, and external agencies
Strong financial acumen, including budget ownership, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance analysis
Ability to lead and manage large-scale transformation initiatives, including process optimization and digital transformation efforts
Ability to translate market intelligence, competitive insights, and business strategy into executable operational and organizational plans
Ability to design and implement organizational structures that support growth, efficiency, and accountability
Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively while maintaining operational continuity and regulatory compliance
Ability to lead through ambiguity, influence at all organizational levels, and drive sustainable performance improvements
Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read in English
Willing to work Monday-Friday (set schedule)
Will be required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours
Possess a customer focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
Willing to travel occasionally
Willing to consent to and pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred

Graduate Degree - Master's degree or MBA
Other - Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP)
Honorably discharged service veterans are preferred
