This strategic individual contributor role involves working with technical teams and business stakeholders to align security strategy with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Define and maintain enterprise security architecture, standards, and reference designs
Evaluate current security capabilities and recommend scalable, secure future-state solutions
Conduct security risk assessments and threat modeling for new technologies, vendors, and environments
Ensure alignment with HIPAA, HITECH, and industry best practices
Lead the design and implementation of security controls across cloud and on-prem environments
Oversee secure configuration and optimization of existing security technologies
Support technology roadmaps and vendor evaluations
Serve as a trusted security advisor to IT, leadership, and business stakeholders
Guide engineering, infrastructure, and application teams on secure design principles
Lead architecture reviews and security design discussions
Contribute to incident response planning and investigations (malware, ransomware, phishing, unauthorized access)
Analyze logs, alerts, and telemetry to improve security posture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
12+ years in information security or infrastructure engineering; 7+ years in security architecture
Strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and PHI protection
Experience designing secure cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Hands-on experience with security tools (EDR/XDR, SIEM, IAM/MFA, DLP, firewalls, vulnerability management)
Strong understanding of networking, identity, encryption, and Zero Trust principles
Experience supporting multi-site or cloud-native environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a distributed, fast-paced environment
Preferred
CISSP, CISM, or similar certification preferred
Healthcare industry experience
