Responsibilities
Perform hands-on calibration of precision instruments and systems, including temperature, pressure, mass, torque, dimensional, voltage, current, and electrical power measurements
Manage third-party calibration activities, including requesting quotes, releasing purchase orders, coordinating logistics, inspecting returned instruments, and verifying calibration reports
Support Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) studies to evaluate measurement reliability, accuracy, and uncertainty
Maintain and continuously update the Gagelist calibration management system, including asset entry, certificate management, status tracking, and calibration alerts
Provide technical support for sensor installation, wiring, and Data Acquisition (DAQ) system configuration for R&D testing activities
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma with specialized technical training in Metrology, Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related field; equivalent military training (e.g., PMEL) is highly valued
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in gauge calibration and instrumentation within a laboratory or industrial environment
Experience operating calibration standards such as dry blocks and pressure calibrators, and troubleshooting DAQ hardware
Familiarity with cloud-based calibration management systems (e.g., Gagelist, Fluke MET/TEAM, GAGEpack, GAGEtrak)
Strong technical communication skills, including the ability to document procedures, interpret calibration standards, and maintain accurate records
