Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and execution of moderately complex analyses that support HEDIS, Medicare Stars, CAHPS/member experience, clinical quality programs, and health equity improvement strategies
Transform data into clear, meaningful insights to guide operational decision making
Collaborate with the Clinical Quality Analytics team to align business requirements, validate data outputs, and ensure consistency across quality reporting
Produce dashboards, presentations, and operational reports tailored to non technical audiences across the organization
Support Medicare Quality performance cycles, including HEDIS measurement, Member Experience and Intervention planning and analysis, Stars strategy tracking, and regulatory deliverables
Monitor quality performance trends, identify risks or gaps, and escalate insights into leadership
Participate in cross functional workgroups, providing analytical input to support program design, interventions, and performance monitoring
Support health equity analyses that identify disparities in care or outcomes and help assess the impact of equity focused interventions
Serve as a primary analytical partner to Medicare Quality program owners while coordinating closely with CQA, Enterprise Analytics, Provider Partnerships, and other operational teams
Translate analytic outputs into clear recommendations for clinical, operational, or member experience initiatives
Help standardize reporting approaches and improve analytic processes within Quality
Use SQL, SAS, R, Python, or similar tools to extract, manipulate, and validate data as needed
Apply strong data quality practices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of quality related reporting
Maintain documentation, business rules, and report specifications
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in public health, social science, business, data science, health services research, computer science, MIS, or equivalent experience is required
5 years of experience in health care (managed care, payer, academic, or government), ideally within quality, analytics, operations, or clinical programs is required
Demonstrated experience with SQL, SAS, or similar analytic tools; strong Excel and data presentation skills
Ability to independently manage analysis projects, define reporting requirements, and communicate complex concepts to non technical audiences
Strong problem solving skills and ability to work with moderately complex datasets, business rules, and quality measurement methodologies
Experience partnering with cross functional analytics teams (e.g., CQA) while maintaining alignment to a business owner or operational team
Apply strong data quality practices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of quality related reporting
Maintain documentation, business rules, and report specifications
Preferred
Master's degree (MPH, MS, MBA, MA) is preferred
Working knowledge of HEDIS, Stars, CAHPS, or health care quality measures (preferred but not required)
Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
Familiarity with clinical coding systems (ICD 10, CPT, DRG, LOINC, pharmacy codes)
Experience supporting quality improvement, care management, provider performance, or regulatory programs
