Responsibilities
Build and maintain LLM-driven workflows for text extraction, summarization, classification, reasoning, and automation
Develop prompting strategies, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and validation logic for reliable LLM outputs
Build RAG pipelines using embeddings, vector stores, and retrieval models (managed or self-hosted)
Fine-tune or adapt LLMs and integrate third-party or hosted models
Build and maintain production inference services and AI-facing APIs that support ClaimSentinel
Implement data preprocessing and feature extraction for text and multimodal datasets
Support integration of classical ML or CV components when they complement LLM-driven workflows
Work with large volumes of structured, unstructured, and OCR-derived documents
Deploy models via Docker and integrate them into backend services
Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for AI components
Optimize inference latency, throughput, and cost in cloud environments
Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable operation of AI services
Partner closely with software engineering on integration strategies and delivery timelines
Work with product leadership to refine requirements and iterate on AI-driven features
Contribute to dataset design, annotation workflows, and overall AI development best practices
Qualification
Required
5+ years in AI engineering, ML engineering, or adjacent production-focused roles
Strong experience building LLM-driven applications (prompting, RAG, embeddings, fine-tuning)
Proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain/LlamaIndex, or similar)
Experience deploying and optimizing model inference services in production
Familiarity with model serving approaches, including managed endpoints and model serving frameworks (vLLM, Ray Serve, or similar)
Solid software engineering fundamentals (testing, CI/CD, version control)
Experience designing evaluation and monitoring workflows for LLM systems
Cloud experience with platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
Ability to work independently in a lean team and make thoughtful engineering tradeoffs
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Preferred
Experience with computer vision techniques and multimodal models
Experience applying classical ML techniques in production systems
Experience in insurance, claims, or related regulated industries
Experience mentoring engineers or contributing to engineering best practices
