Learning Consultant for 2026-27 School Year
The Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation is dedicated to providing quality education and support to students. The Learning Consultant plays a crucial role in supporting the academic success and holistic development of students by collaborating with teachers and families to implement effective support strategies.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with classroom teachers and administrators to identify students experiencing learning challenges or differences
Conduct formal and informal assessments to evaluate student strengths, needs, and learning styles
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), learning support plans, or accommodation plans
Provide targeted academic interventions to students individually or in small groups, as appropriate
Support teachers in differentiating instruction, modifying assignments, and implementing accommodations and inclusive practices
Interpret psychoeducational evaluations and assist faculty in translating recommendations into effective classroom strategies
Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and outside service providers (e.g., psychologists, therapists, tutors)
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, strategies for home support, and available resources
Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring data, and confidential student records in accordance with school and Archdiocesan policies
Participate in student support meetings, parent conferences, professional development, and school meetings
Contribute to a positive, faith-filled school culture that reflects Catholic values, respect for the dignity of each child, and a commitment to inclusion
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Learning Disabilities, School Psychology, or a related field required
Valid state teaching certification required
Experience working with students who have diverse learning needs in a school setting
Strong knowledge of learning disabilities, assessment tools, intervention strategies, and differentiated instruction
Familiarity with developing and supporting learning plans, accommodations, and progress monitoring
Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Commitment to the mission, values, and philosophy of Catholic education
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Certification in Special Education or Learning Support Services strongly preferred
