Responsibilities
Lead and manage federal and multi-state tax compliance and consulting engagements for ICP clients
Review complex partnership, S-corporation, and C-corporation returns
Advise clients on tax planning strategies related to:
Entity structuring and restructurings
M&A transactions (buy-side and sell-side)
Accounting methods and changes
Inventory, capitalization, and cost-related issues common to M&D businesses
Serve as primary client contact on assigned engagements
Manage engagement economics, timelines, and staffing
Review workpapers and returns prepared by Managers, Seniors, and Associates
Mentor and develop staff and Managers within the ICP tax team
Collaborate with other service lines (Transaction Advisory, Cost Segregation, SALT, R&D, International, etc.) as needed
Qualification
Required
CPA required
8+ years of public accounting tax experience
Strong background in partnership and corporate taxation
Experience serving manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or consumer products clients
Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and client relationships simultaneously
Experience reviewing complex returns and providing planning guidance
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business owners and executives
Preferred
Prior experience at a national or large regional CPA firm preferred
