Responsibilities
Collaborate with project teams under the direction of a Team Lead or Project Manager
Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and evaluations to support design decisions and recommend improvements
Prepare engineering drawings, layouts, and design details using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Assist in developing project specifications, technical memoranda, and engineering reports
Gather and organize project-related data, including researching utility records and supporting information
Review and analyze maps, drawings, survey data, and other technical documents
Assist with reviewing contractor submittals, RFIs, design documents, and project schedules
Perform field engineering duties, including site observations, verifying contractor compliance with design documents, and assisting with field modifications as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited University
1-3 years of relevant engineering experience (internship or co-op)
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months of hire
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Ability to conduct occasional field work, including site visits and construction observations
Ability to travel up to 10% as required for project needs
Valid Driver's license
Preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is strongly preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills with the ability to perform engineering calculations and interpret design data
Team-oriented with strong capability to work independently
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
