Responsibilities
Preparing and filing various types of complex partnership tax returns in accordance with firm policies and procedures
Assisting with coordination of annual partner tax questionnaire process and updating the tax module databases
Identification and escalation of tax or accounting process issues to mitigate risk
Reviewing transactional data of the firm's financial records and ensuring accuracy
Conducting research, including analyzing financial information, in response to inquiries by internal and external stakeholders
Reconciliation of complex tax accounts
Collaborating with external state or local tax authorities to research issues and prepare responses to mitigate risk for the firm
Gaining advanced knowledge of financial applications as they apply to your role
Providing performance-related feedback and training to more junior team members
Qualification
Required
Experience working on state and local tax returns and performing tax research
Proficiency of tax, finance, accounting principles and internal controls
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills, including written and verbal
Strong technical skills to gain advanced knowledge of financial systems
Ability to collaborate with internal teams and professionals at all levels
3-6 plus years of related experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience
Preferred
Strong excel skills
Experience working in a professional services firm
Experience providing training and development to team members
